Kingdom Of Gossipers

Many discussed and argued whether the Gossip page is a tradition of SSE Riga and the Insider or just a mean way to hurt other people without facing the consequences. A few weeks ago we received quite a worrying letter about the Gossip page; as true journalists, we tried to ask your opinion on the subject. Theletter itself and the summary of the survey responses are offered for your judgment.

iGame-2010 is over!

The Investment Game ’10 has ended. It definitely hasn’t been an easy task to organize and to run the game, as we, the board of the Investment Fund, faced many challenges starting from fund raising and ending with programming. Baptizing party

Being a “rite of passage” for Y1 students, the so-called Baptizing party (BP) offers newcomers to go through various tasks and challenges, proving their ability to be real SSE Riga people. For some reasons, these “challenges” have been always associated with mudding people and daring them to drink some explosive mix of different degree alcoholic beverages. Fortunately or not, this year’s party was free of the former, while the latter was just an insignificant part of the whole process. The title theme was “Disco”, so a lot of 70s-style dancing was involved. Let’s see what happened on that day;)Read more >>

NewComers Camp 2009

Every student in SSER has experienced the joy when they got that fateful letter from administration saying that they have been admitted to SSER. Just in time when everybody starts to celebrate the end of high school and admission to the university of their dreams, they receive a strange email from the Student Association inviting them to the first big event, which becomes the top priority of almost every freshly admitted student - the Newcomers Camp. So this year students took out their red pens and marked 15th and 16th of August with bright red circles.Read more >>
