The Tower Team Riga

Four charming Lithuanian guys (Karolis, Ignas, Rafal and Matas) and one nice Latvian girl Santa - this is the Tower Team. We are living together since August 2009, but now it seems like we have spent many years together: someone is always waiting for you, someone is always ready to listen and help.

There are a few people who recall a flat called the Hole (Skyle). The Tower is the same flat, just after renovation and a bit of re-branding. The Hole used to be cold and dark, with unreliable electricity system and few conveniences. Now all rooms are renovated: Matas has put on curtains and a lamp hood, Rafal has put on new wallpapers and Karolis is struggling to overtake all flatmates by putting colour-transitive wallpapers and making led illumination system (let's hope that the electricity system will remain reliable). The last step in rebranding was taken when the hole on the roof, which used to cause water leaking in Rafal’s room ceiling, was covered.

The flat crew enjoys spending time together either during lunch break or in the evening while sipping a cup of tea or coffee for the motivation to work at night. Sometimes we gather on Ignas’ couch and watch The Simpsons. Actually, we are somewhat similar to Simpsons family: we always make something interesting and funny. Our bank of jokes is bottomless (or as real economists would say - cannot default): each day we come up with a new phrase. In order not to forget them, we write down the best ones on the paper hanging on the fridge. At the moment, we have filled almost two pages of jokes. Moreover, you may be wondering how it is possible that someone is always waiting for you (recall the first paragraph). Well, to be honest, we have 6th person in the flat: our Nigga, painted on the wall in the kitchen, is always having a long-long-drink, for some 3 years already, and listening for whoever is willing to share emotions with him.

We have not invented many rules for keeping the flat clean and tidy, the rules were already there!!! Everyone is taking care after him/her-self. Of course, it is important to kick each other’s ass time after time, but it mostly comes in a form of a joke. Eating together is an unwritten rule: Santa is a perfect cook and the guys of the flat are always waiting for her improvisations. Matas and Ignas contribute very often, too. Only Karolis is always coming "for hot". Therefore, he enjoys washing the dishes afterwards (we even have a special song for this activity).

We create deluxe comfort for our guests. We have two huge TV sets for entertainment, jacuzzi for a pool-party, and a "steam bath" for even bigger pool-party. We even keep white tea to suit the special tastes of our guests. The Tower can accommodate six guests (if not more): we have overcapacity of beds and mattresses. Unfortunately, we have not solved the Internet connection problem yet, but borrowing it from outside seems a student-friendly solution. Just there is a problem - somebody is stealing the Internet we borrow, and sometimes it becomes really slow...
