Tell us about yourself!

I was born on April 1st, 1993 in Crimea, Ukraine. In 1994-1995 my family moved to Moscow where I began going to school in 2000. I moved to Riga in 2006-2007 and finished my secondary education in 2009.

How did you manage to complete 12 grades in 9 years?

Our preparation courses happened to be so terrific that many kids managed to cover whole program of Russian 1stgrade. Basically it was reading, writing and simple accounting. I went in 1st grade for two weeks and then realized that I knew everything. My parents decided to move me to grade 2. The same happened with two friends of mine who currently study at Moscow Financial Academy and High School of Economics in Moscow. I also skipped 4th grade and when I moved to Latvia I entered a grade further.

How does it feel to be the youngest student in SSE Riga ever?

I don’t feel any barriers or something as I have been studying with older people for most of my life.

How would you describe yourself?

I’m outgoing, but not too transparent; friendly, but quite ambitious; ready to help, but not extremely generous; hard working. Some people say I have a fairly good sense of humor. Overall, I’m a classical Aries.

What are your future aims?

I have to admit that there is no clear vision yet, but I would definitely like to do something international as my dream is to travel around the world. I think I would love to work in market management of Google or Microsoft.

What are your fears, phobias?

I am afraid of height but I can cope with that. I am afraid of big dogs. I am a bit too suspicious when returning home late. I am afraid of failures if I may say.

How often do you go to bars, pubs etc?

Obviously, I’m not really a pub or club goer – you know, I just can’t go to many of them because of my age. But the situation has been gradually recovering for last 2 years and so far SSE Riga promises to be the place where I could conquer new heights.

How would you spend million dollars?

Travelling. First a country with unique culture and history, probably China, then some tropical getaway.

Why did you apply to SSE Riga? What were the main factors influencing your choice?

This really is the best school in the region – the international students studying here, up-to-date equipment…
