Arkadij Suharenko was born in 1959 in Belarus. He graduated Riga Polytechnic Institute (Construction faculty) and worked as a building engineer. Was a vice-president of Rietumu Banka in 1995-1997. In 1997 he was selected as a president of the Latvian federation of table tennis. Was selected as the Chairman of the Riga Jewish community in 2002. Recipient of the Order of the Three Stars. Married, has three children.
